Most professional trouble does not arrive suddenly. It arrives on a Tuesday, quietly, after months of skipped reflection, drifting attention, and coaching that ended when a contract did. By the time you notice, the work of getting back is much harder than the work of staying steady would have been.
Unbreakable One exists because deliberate practice works for professional life — and almost no one is doing it. Not because they don't want to. Because they don't have a place to.
An origin story of an idea — told by the person who built the practice around it.
I was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) — commonly known as Brittle Bone Disease — a rare genetic condition that causes bones to break more easily than normal.
Living with OI has shaped every stage of my life. It taught me early that challenges are inevitable, but how we respond to them defines who we become.
Over the years, I've experienced setbacks, disappointments, and unexpected detours. I've also learned that resilience is not about being fearless or never struggling. It's about continuing to move forward, adapting when circumstances change, and refusing to let adversity define your future. Those lessons have become the foundation of both my personal and professional life.
For more than two decades, I've built a career focused on client service, relationship management, leadership, and trust within the global financial services industry.
Today, I serve as a Vice President within the Global Capital Markets field, where I work with clients and colleagues to navigate complex business challenges and deliver exceptional service.
Throughout my career, I've worked with individuals, businesses, and institutional clients — helping build strong relationships, solve problems, and create positive outcomes. Success is rarely about technical skills alone. It comes from trust, communication, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous growth.
I've also experienced career setbacks firsthand — periods of unemployment and professional uncertainty. Those experiences deepened my understanding of resilience and reinforced my belief that setbacks can become stepping stones to something greater.
Unbreakable One was created to explore those principles and help others apply them in their own lives. This isn't a platform built on theory. It's built on lived experience, professional lessons, personal challenges, and a commitment to helping others thrive.
Every person has value and potential.
Adversity can become a source of strength.
Purpose matters.
Trust is one of the most important assets you'll ever build.
Lifelong learning is a competitive advantage.
Success is not measured solely by achievement, but by impact.
Your circumstances do not have to determine your future.
The reason to build a private place — instead of talking to a coach who ends, taking a course that finishes, or opening another blank chatbot session — is that every deliberate move you make stays with you. Your reviews, your assessments, your reflection, your milestones. All in one place, kept private, read by you when you need to see who you are becoming. The picture gets sharper the longer you practice.
Become the kind of professionalcircumstances cannot define.
Respectfully,
Russ Crane, MBA
